Wayne Rooney happy about Marcus Rasford’s debut goals

Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney has took to twitter to express his delight about Marcus Rasford’s debut brace and his side’s round sixteenth game against rivals Liverpool.

Goals from Memphis Depay, Ander Herrera, Nikolay Bodurov (o.g.) and Marcus Rashford’s brace was enough to seal Man United through to play Liverpool at round sixteenth stage after Pione Sisto opened the scoring for the away.

And England captain Wayne Rooney who missed the game due to two months injury treatment cannot hide his happiness as he took to twitter to announce it.

A statement reads on his official twitter handle reads : “Great win last night and a brilliant first team debut for Marcus Rashford,  Liverpool next round!!”

Man United are lying fifth position with 41 points, six points behind fourth placed Man City and will host Arsenal at Old Trafford on Sunday.

In a related development, Man United were drawn against Liverpool to play away at round sixteen in the Europa League. The last 16 draw was held in Zurich today and these are the fixtures for the matches which will be played on March 10 and 11.
