Wales vs Uruguay
International Friendlies – China Cup
Date: Monday, 26 March 2018
Kick-Off at 12:35 UK
Venue: Guangxi Sports Center Stadium (Nanning).
The 2018 China Cup final promises a super entertaining clash between the likes of Wales and Uruguay. Both teams have put on quite a decent performance in the semifinal clashes against China and Czech Republic and we could indeed be in for a thrilling 90 minutes of football on Monday at Guangxi Sports Center Stadium.
Gareth Bale became Wales’ all-time leading scorer when he completed a hat-trick in the 0-6 thumping of hosts China on Thursday. Burnley’s Sam Vokes has also contributed well by netting a brace, while the sixth goal came from another attacking midfielder Harry Wilson. The defensive trio (Chester, William and Davies) had no troubles against a limited Chinese side, but it will clearly encounter a much tougher test against Uruguay in the final.
Oscar Tabarez used his best possible linuep in the match with Czech Republic and both Edinson Cavani and Luis Suarez were on target announcing a strong campaign at the World Cup in Russia. Girona’s red-hot striker Christian Stuani has also got the chance to play in the second half and Welsh defensive line will have a super tough job stopping these names on Monday.
We also have to mention that the semifinal against China has marked Ryan Giggs’ super successful debut on the bench of the national team.
The two teams have not had the chance to play each other in the past.
Uruguay are the bookies’ favourites for reason since Tabarez has a much greater quality in his ranks compared to his young colleague on the other side.
Nonetheless, Gareth Bale seems to be highly-motivated and he could lead Wales towards a potential upset here.
The best way to go would be backing goals at both ends based on magnificent displays both sides have shown in the semis.
Alternatively, we’ll go with Uruguay to win at the odds of 2.10.
