VVV-Venlo vs PEC Zwolle: Prediction
Pride of the South is out of the bottom three after a much-needed 2-0 victory over Emmen, their second in last three Eredivisie games.
Currently on a brink of relegation, hanging on a thread at 15th with five wins and eleven defeats (16:39 GD), their form seems to be picking up under caretaker manager Jay Driessen.
Two home wins in three games since Maaskant left, both over relegation contenders shoots them up the table. Direct brand of football Driessen implemented seems to fit them well.
Zwolle are in free fall since round six and it doesn’t seem to stop. John Stegeman’s pupils managed four wins, a draw and eleven losses as they sit on relegation play off place but a point away from endangered ADO.
With one win and seven defeats away from MAC³PARK Stadion (5:17 GD) doesn’t exactly inspire hope coming into this important game. And their schedule isn’t getting any easier…
Experienced striker Elia Soriano is new addition to VVV’s injury list which already features Lee Cattermole and Bram Verbong.
Etiënne Reijnen is only one seriously injured for Stegeman’s side. Mustafa Saymak, Kenneth Paal and Bran van Polen are closely monitored but uncertain for Saturday’s contest.
One of the bets I’d try would be Half with most goals: 1st half. VVV fulfilled this in five out of last six games at Covebo Stadion while PEC Zwolle did it four times in last six excursions. If you’re after something bit more secure, I’d say you can’t go wrong with Draw No Bet on VVV. They seem like completely different team under Driessen, even AZ had hard time breaking them.
VVV-Venlo vs PEC Zwolle: Betting tips
