Valencia vs Osasuna
Spanish La Liga
Date: Sunday, 7th May April 2017
Kick off at 15:15 UK/ 16:15 CET
Venue: Estadio de Mestalla.
Valencia will have a huge opportunity to end the dismal run of three consecutive losses as they host the rock-bottomed Osasuna this Sunday at Mestalla.
The visitors have nothing to play for as they already lost the Primera Division status.
Salvador Moro can generally be satisfied with the job he has done since taking charge over Cesare Prandelli on Valencia’s bench.
The Spanish expert moved the Bats away from the relegation scrap. However, Voro has a reason to be worried because his team has been poor at the back in the most recent period.
The Bats allowed as many as seven goals in three straight losses to Malaga, Real Sociedad and Real Madrid.
If Valencia are easy to break down, what should we say for Osasuna? The visitors have by far the weakest defensive line in the competition.
Petar Vasiljevic’s side allowed as many as 14 goals in last four league fixtures and they are 11 points away from the safe zone with three games left to play until the end of the season.
Valencia vs Osasuna: Head to head
Valencia have been the dominant side in head to head meetings. The Bats have 18 wins and only five losses in H2H matches with Osasuna.
It is very interesting to note that four of the last five meetings between the two sides ended with at least three goals.
This includes a six-goal thriller in a 3-3 draw back from early January this year when the two sides took each other for the first time in this term of Primera.
Valencia vs Osasuna: Prediction
We most certainly expect to see an open game full of goal scoring chances in front of both goals.
The Bats are obviously much closer to grabbing three points.
