Valencia vs Barcelona
Spanish La Liga
Date: Sunday, 7 October 2018
Kick-Off at 19:45 UK 20:45 CET
Venue: Estadio de Mestalla (Valencia).
The defending champions travel to Mestalla to take on Valencia in the most exciting match of the round in Primera Division. Blaugrana have been struggling badly domestically of late and they come into this winless in three consecutive league ties.
It’s a horrific record for a team such as Barcelona, especially if we know they played the likes of Girona, Leganes and Athletic Bilbao in the process (two times at Camp Nou). Ernesto Valverde’s job is thus immediately rumoured to be on the line and the atmosphere in the dressing room is far from ideal at this stage of the season.
Barca, however, managed to gain the wanted momentum and end such a dreadful run by surviving a tough Tottenham Hotspur test in the mid-week Champions League action. Valverde’s troops bagged four goals to maintain the perfect record in the continental competition. Which face will they show here when they tackle Valencia at Mestalla?

Valencia vs Barcelona: Prediction
Valencia have been playing hot and cold since the start of the season. They look to be in good touch lately with a win over Real Sociedad away at Anoeta and a goalless draw to Manchester United away at Old Trafford under their belts.
Marcelino is still hoping to see improvements at the other end of the pitch, though, as the Bats have been struggling badly for goals recently. Valencia notched no more than two in last six games across competitions. They should have space to improve the poor attacking record here against Barcelona who have huge issues without Samuel Umtiti in the back line.
Gerard Pique played horrendously in recent weeks as Barcelona actually kept just one clean sheet in last seven games in all competitions. This is why we’ll go with the BTTS as the main betting option at 1.57, while the value pick would be draw at the half time at 2.50.
