USA vs Colombia:
Copa America 2016 – Third Place Play-Off,
Date: Sunday, June 26, 2016,
Kick-off: 1:00 UK Time,
Venue: University of Phoenix Stadium (Arizona).
USA will be facing Colombia in the early hours of Sunday morning in the 2016 edition of the Copa America Centenario third place fixture at University of Phoenix Stadium as the two teams aim for the third placed finish.
United States have shown dedication to soccer in recent years with good improvement in their squad as they have proved that in their last games having finished top in the group A with successive wins against Costa Rica and Paraguay to gain 6 points, they later defeated Ecuador 2-1 in the quarter finals but were no match to the Argentines who humiliated them in the semifinals. They now hope for a win in this game to revenge their defeat against Colombia in their opening game.
On the other hand Colombia were runners up behind USA in the group A due to goal difference, Colombia started the tournament well, beating the host 2-0 in the opening game, they also beat Paraguay 2-1 but succumbed to a 3-2 defeat against Costa Rica. Colombia’s quarter final game against Peru ended in a Penalty shootout victory for the Colombians but they surrendered a 2-0 defeat to the Chileans in the semifinals.
USA: Team News
Alejandro Bedoya and Bobby Wood returns to the starting line-up after serving their one match suspension. While Jermaine Jones remains out due to the red card picked up against Ecuador in the quarter final.

Guzan – Yedlin, Cameron, Brooks, Johnson – Bedoya, Bradley, Beckerman, Zusi – wood, Dempsey.
Colombia: Team News
Carlos Sanchez will be missing in this game as he is on suspension apart from that, Colombia has no other missing player.
Colombia: Predicted Line-up (4-2-3-1)
Ospina – Arias, Zapata, Murillo, Fabra – Daniel Torres, Perez – Cuadrado, Cardona, Rodriguez – Martinez.
USA vs Columbia: Head to Head stats
USA have won only 2 times in their previous 8 meetings against Columbia while Colombia have won 5 and drawn 1.
Columbia have been the better side in the last 4 game between them, they are unbeaten in their last 4 games and have recorded 3 wins and draw.
Columbia have also kept a clean sheet in 3 of the last 4 games as they have conceded only 1 goal in their last 4 games.
USA vs Colombia: Prediction
The game will be a tough one as the two sides are eager for a medal, Columbia have a stronger squad compared to USA and they have dominated their last 4 games against USA but they need to be focused and fight against complacency to attain their best Copa America finish since 2001.
Columbia should have no problem winning against USA if they keep their rhythm. I predict a win for the Colombians and also I expect the game to see at least 3 goals.
1. Columbia win
2. Over 2.5 goals
3. Over 2.5 goals (risky)
