Udinese vs AC Milan
Italian Serie A
Date: Sunday, 4th February 2018
Kick-Off: 14:00 UK/ 15:00 CET
Venue: Dacia Arena (Udine).
After some ups and downs, AC Milan are now back in seventh spot which puts them in contention for the Europa League. They also managed to draw with Lazio in the Coppa Italia which still keeps them in contention for the Coppa Italia final. However, the Zebrette are also hoping to force their way into a Europa League spot after hiring Massimo Oddo as they have improved as of late. Will they derail Milan’s ambitions?
Since Oddo’s arrival, Udinese have lost just twice – against Lazio and Napoli. That’s an impressive run, which also includes a 3-1 rout of Inter at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza which ended the Nerazzurri’s unbeaten run this term. That has seen them surge up the table and given the fact that Milan have yet to keep a clean sheet on the road under Gennaro Gattuso, Udinese could grab some goals here.
In fact, Udinese are among the highest (6th) in terms of goal-output in the league, which is not bad considering they are a smaller team and don’t have the financial resources that Milan have spent on trying to refurbish their squad. However, they’re not without their problems. The Zebrette do concede their share of goals as well and Milan have started to improve somewhat up front, which could see the visitors grab a goal themselves.
Since Oddo’s arrival, Udinese have picked up 20 points from their 12 league fixtures. That’s an impressive return, as only Juventus and Napoli have done better, so had the league started when he arrived, Udinese would actually be in a Champions League spot. Will Milan be able to avoid a slip-up in Udine?

Udinese vs AC Milan: Prediction
All but one of their last six meetings have seen both teams score, it’s certain this game could follow in the same pattern. However, it’s important to note that Udinese, since Oddo’s arrival, have tightened things up at the back at home. They haven’t shipped more than one goal at the Dacia Arena in their last six and it’s hard to see them losing this game outright – especially considering Milan’s less than impressive traveling performances.
