Turkmenistan vs South Korea
World Cup Qualification Asia
Date: Tuesday, 10 September 2019
Kick-off at 15:00 UK / 16:00 CET
Venue: Köpetdag Stadium (Ashgabat).
Turkmenistan got off to a positive start in the qualifiers last week by pulling off a comfortable 2-0 win over Sri Lanka away from home. A goal in each half was more than enough to seal the three points for the home team who were certainly much the better side in that clash.
South Korea are arguably the strongest team in Group H and are the only side in the table that made it to Russia last year as well. The visitors are yet to feature in a qualifier and will surely be eying all three points to carry back home when they take on the hosts in their opener.
Moreover, Turkmenistan have just one win from their last five games across various competitions. Considering that their foes for the week are a much more superior side with just one defeat since the start of this year, the home team will have to put in the extra effort if they are to at least a consolation goal for themselves in this one.

Turkmenistan vs South Korea Prediction
The hosts are up against a contender who could well make it all the way to Qatar and so Ante Mise’s men are the underdogs by a mile in this one. Although they did taste success in their respective opening clash, it needs mentioning that South Korea are a much more experienced and competitive side on the global stage.
Additionally, Mise’s men have not been faring well against the South Koreans in their previous games and have been at the losing end in their last two competitive fixtures, one of which was in their own back yard.
Taking into account that the visitors have also admitted defeat just once in their last five official games as well, an easy win for South Korea is definitely in the cards.
So, count on them to be leading at the break and to come out on top at the end of the ninety minutes this Tuesday. Furthermore, all of their previous three meetings, friendlies included, have featured four goals on the scoreboards.
Given that South Korea will also be keen to hit the ground running right from their opening game, by all means, expect over 2.5 goals on the scorecards at the last blast of the whistle.
