Turkey Team News:
The biggest worry for Fatih Terim will be lack of playing time for star striker Burak Yilmaz, who recently returned from an injury. He is expected to start, with Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun is also an option.
Arda Turan and Hakan Calhanoglu are the key men to watch out for, who will be supporting Yilmaz on either flanks.
Other than this Turkey has no major injuries and Terim is expected to field the strongest possible eleven.
Turkey Predicted Line-up (4-2-3-1)
Babacan – Erkin, Topal, Balta, Gonul – Inan, Tufan – Turan, Ozyakup, Calhanoglu – Yilmaz.

Ivan Rakitic and Luka Modric alongside Fiorentina’s Milan Badelj will start in a withdrawn midfield role, but all three of them are capable of making strong runs into the opposition penalty box.

Turkey vs Croatia: Head-to-Head Stats
The team had previously met on 6 occasions, with 4 of them ending in a draw in the regulation 90 minutes, and the teams sharing a win each. They had met twice in European Championship final stages, in 1996 group stages and in the Quarter-finals of 2008.
In the 1996 edition, the match was played on a similar date 11 June 1996, Croatia edge the tie 1-0, helped by a goal from substitute Goran Vlaovic in the 86th minute. In the 2008 quarter finals at the Ernst-Happel-Stadion in Vienna, the game was tied at 0-0 after 90 minutes and with just one minute to go for the final whistle in the added extra time, Ivan Klasnic put Croatia ahead, only to be cancelled out by Semih Senturk, second before the final whistle. Turkey then defeated Croatia on penalty shoot-out, both Modric and Rakitic missed from the spot on that occasion.
The teams were drawn together in the final play-off stages for the qualification of Euro 2012, Croatia defeated Turkey 3-0 on aggregate after winning the first leg at Istanbul by the same score-line and playing out a 0-0 stalemate in the second leg at home, which is also the last meeting between the two sides.
Turkey vs Croatia: Prediction
This game is tough one and could go either way as both teams are in good form so there are no outright favourites, but Croatia seem to have an upper hand with their scoring capabilities, they also have a star studded midfield which may hand them all possession in the middle of the park.
I back a narrow win from the Croatian side, but this won’t be an easy game by any means. Also, this will be an entertaining match and we will see at least 3 goals.
Exact Score Prediction: Turkey 1-2 Croatia (odds 7.93).
