Tottenham vs Newcastle United
England – Premier League
Date: Sunday, 25 August 2019
Kick-off at 16:30 UK / 17:30 CET
Venue: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (London).
Despite managing just three attempts at goal throughout the clash, Tottenham did just enough to hold the reigning champions Manchester City to a 2-2 draw at the Etihad Stadium. Lloris was certainly the busier of the two keepers and made eight saves to ensure that Tottenham would not have to make the trip back home empty-handed.
Newcastle United have got off on the wrong foot and were at the receiving end of back to back losses in the new campaign. The Magpies managed not more than a consolation goal through Jonjo Shelvy as a Pukki inspired Norwich side slotted three past them by the end of the ninety minutes in their most recent matchup.
With another trip on the road against a top-five side back this weekend, Newcastle are staring at the prospect of slumping further down the table as a win against Spurs just does not fit the equation.

Tottenham vs Newcastle United Prediction
The runners up of the 2018/19 Champions League have certainly not been disappointing in the new season and have already picked a point off of the mighty Manchester City in their last clash. Also, Pochettino’s men have lost just once in their previous five Premier League games on home soil and have scored ten from those fixtures alone while conceding just thrice.
The visitors have a disappointing away record to speak of and have managed a win just twice in their last six outings. Additionally, it needs saying that Newcastle have not got the better of Spurs in their last two visits here, both of which they lost by a 1-0 scoreline.
The home team are a much more competitive side at the moment, so expect them to win both halves with ease as Newcastle look far from likely to cause any major threat.
Considering that hosts have already slotted five goals from their last two games alone, expect a high scoring clash as Tottenham could well rack up the goals tally on their own in this one.
