Torino vs Cagliari: Prediction

Torino slipped to 10th position after the last week’s narrow defeat to Udinese at Friuli. The Granata had more of the game in the second half, but failed to level the score and their winless streak is now extended to three games. They will be looking to bounce back on Sunday when they welcome thriving Caglari side to Stadio Olimpico.

Walter Mazzarri has a fully fit squad to choose from.

Cagliari, sitting at 5th position with four wins, four draws and two defeats, extended their unbeaten run to six games with a 2-0 victory over lowly SPAL at Sardegna Arena. The high-flying Sardinians are yet to lose a game on the road this season – they’ve defeated Napoli (1-0), Parma (3-1), and shared the spoils with Roma (1-1).

Rolando Maran won’t be able to count on injured duo Pavoleti – Cragno. Lykogiannis, Mattiello, Cacciatore and Deiola will be evaluated.

The Granata have W-D-L record of 2-1-1 at Turin’s Olimpico. They have an average of 1.25 goals netted per game at home, whilst conceding 1 per tie. Even though he failed to score in two Seria A matches in a row, Andrea Belotti is still one of the league’s most lethal strikers with 5 goals to his name.

The visitors have 2-1-0 record away from Sardegna Arena. Cagliari are scoring 1.67 goals per bout on the road, whilst conceding just 0.67. Joao Pedro and Giovanni are their most dangerous players with 5 goals combined this season.

This one is hard to predict. Torino are listed as favourites and I would take them in DNB market, but odds are just silly. Since I have a 2-1 or 1-1 hunch, I’ll go with both teams to score and pick Andrea Belotti to net anytime.

Belotti is Torino’s main weapon and he scored four of five league goals at this venue.

Torino vs Cagliari: Betting Tips
