Suwon Bluewings vs Ulsan FC
Asia – AFC Champions League
Date: Wednesday, 16th May 2018
Kick-Off at 12:00 UK
Venue: Suwon World Cup Stadium (Suwon).
In the second leg match of the AFC Champions League eight finals, two South Korean side are going to face each other.
Home side managed to break the winless streak which lasted for four games in all competitions with a victory in the domestic championship against Daegu. They are the second placed team in K-League but seven points behind Jeonbuk Motors. Seo Jung-Won’s side snatched the top place in the group stage, but they were not very convincing. They need to go out with attacking approach if they want to secure the place in the quarter-finals.
The visitors have a narrow 1-0 advantage from the first leg clash and they want to defend their lead in this one. They haven’t suffered a defeat in the last 12 games and although their clashes were not very efficient, they are placed in the top six of the domestic league. On the other hand, their matches in this competition have been high scoring as Junior Negao and the lads produced 15 goals, but also allowed too many.
Suwon Bluewings vs Ulsan: Head-to-head
Since 2015, Ulsan were more successful in their head to head clashes as they’ve celebrated five wins. We haven’t seen the visiting team booking a victory in the past five matches. The crowd is usually not able to enjoy many goals when these two sides face each other.
Suwon Bluewings vs Ulsan Prediction
Although the hosts have been playing better in the domestic championship, the momentum is on the visitors’ side and they might be able to get away with a draw. Ulsan suffered only one defeat away to Suwon in the last five occasions.
This one should also be one of the tight clashes of the eight-finals and both sides will be more focused on preventing the mistakes in the back. The match should stay under 2.5 margin according to their recent form and the tradition.
