Aston Villa kept ground on Cardiff City in the battle for the direct promotion with a 2-4 victory away at Hillsborough Stadium last time out. The Lions, who were not in action at the weekend, will have a nice chance to back up the victory and pull out a similar attacking showing on Tuesday evening when they visit Stadium of Light to play the last-placed Sunderland.
