Stoke City vs Tottenham Hotspur: Preview and Predictions

Stoke City vs Tottenham Hotspur
England – Premier League
Date: Saturday, 7 April 2018
Kick-Off at 15:00 UK
Venue: Bet365 Stadium (Stoke-on-Trent).

The Potters look to be sliding down the Premier League ladder at an alarming rate. They’ve fallen into the danger area being winless in eight straight affairs. To make things worse for Paul Lambert and his men, it’s Tottenham Hotspur who are about to visit Bet365 Stadium this weekend.

The visitors will head into the game in high spirits after beating Chelsea in a super important six-pointer in the battle for the Champions League spots next term. Mauricio Pochettino started without Harry Kane who came on from the bench late in the second half. Chelsea grabbed an early lead through Alvaro Morata, but Christian Eriksen bagged a screamer from outside the box to level things up before the break. Dele Alli stole the show netting a brace in the second half to push the Spurs eight points clear off the reigning champions in fifth.

With Harry Kane in the squad, Pochettino’s side will be massive favourites to cruise their way towards a new victory on Saturday against the out-of-form relegation strugglers. Overall, Tottenham have done very well without Kane as they0ve netted an impressive tally of ten goals in three consecutive wins across competitions.

Given they are now up against league’s weakest defensive line (61 goals conceded in 31 matches so far), we could expect such high-profile trend to be continued for the visitors here. The Potters have also had huge issues with the efficiency up front recently. They’ve only scored once in last four league games and they will come into thus off the back of a tough 3-0 defeat to Arsenal on Sunday at Emirates Stadium.

Stoke City vs Tottenham Hotspur: Head-to-head

Tottenham have been brutal towards the Potters lately.

The Spurs have won four on the bounce against Stoke City, netting four or more goals in each of the games in the process.

This term’s clash at Wembley saw a 5-1 victory for the Spurs in December last year with a brace from Kane.

Stoke City vs Tottenham Hotspur: Prediction

Everything suggests a disaster for the Potters and we’d be highly surprised to witness any other scenario but a confident victory for the Spurs here.

Tottenham to win by two or more as well as Tottenham to net three or more goals look to be the best betting options.
