Chelsea look to end their bad run in Premier League as they travel to Stoke City on Saturday evening. Jose Mourinho’s men are struck at the bottom half of the league table and are keen to raise the level of their game to a third successive defeat in the Premier League this season.
Stoke City’s Premier League campaign is yet to get off this season, but they will go into this match with full confidence after sending the Blues out of the Capital One Cup, just 2 few weeks ago.
Chelsea are currently sitting 15th in the league table with 11 points and the gap with leaders Manchester City has widened and stay at 14 points. Their hosts on Saturday evening are just a place above them at 14th position with 13 points.
There is a lot of speculation on Jose Mourinho’s future and if one has to believe the media, he will earn the axe if Chelsea fail to beat Stoke City on Saturday. He is also forced to watch his side’s match from home after being slapped with a one-match stadium ban for altercations with referee during the 2-1 loss to West Ham.
At the same time, the Potter’s boss Mark Hughes know well, there is no better time than this to face the current champions and will be keen to exploit the woes of a leaking Chelsea defense.
John Terry and Chelsea
Tony Evans has defended Robbie Savage from criticism after John Terry suggested the former Wales International should keep his mouth shut in the future. Evans believes that Terry should take the criticism and that opinions are not restricted to Champions League winners. Chelsea face a tough trip to Stoke this weekend but Evans believes it is probably the right time to visit the Britannia.
