Stevenage vs Oldham Prediction
Stevenage kept their presence in the EFL Trophy alive last week by pulling off a 1-0 win over Bristol Rovers at home. However, the hosts have been far from convincing in their League Two campaign this term. They were without a win in six games when they welcomed Port Vale into their midst earlier last week.
It is also worth mentioning that the home side are now hovering dangerously close to the bottom of the ladder.
On the other hand, Oldham have not been coping any better as of late, in all honesty. The visiting contingent were on a three-match losing streak when they made the trip to Moss Rose recently.
In sharp contrast, the hosts have been resilient at home. They have salvaged a point at the least in six of their previous seven games here.
Furthermore, the guests have secured the bragging rights just twice in their last four visits to this stadium. Hence, given the far from consistent run of form that Oldham are on, away from home, Stevenage are likely to edge it past the guests in this one.
Having said that, the home team have been held to a draw five times already here this season. So, it will certainly be safer to back a Draw no bet this week.
In addition, Stevenage have not been keen in racking up the goal-scoring charts here, and have not allowed most of their foes to do the same as well. The fact that a stalemate has occurred thrice in their past four games certainly stands as a testament to it.
With Oldham hardly proving their mettle in the final third on the road, you can definitely rule out any chances of a high scoring affair unfolding.
