St Mirren vs Celtic
2018/19 Scottish Premiership
Date: Friday, 14th September 2018
Kick-off at 19:45 UK/ 20:45 CET
Venue: The Simple Digital Arena (Paisley).
As the international break ends, St Mirren will welcome Celtic in Fridays Scottish Premiership at Paisley. Oran Kearny will be in the dugout for St Mirren as the manager for the first time with aim to stop Celtic who are back in top form after a sticky spell.
Kearny moves to Scotland Coleraine having Spent 7 years there as he won the Irish Cup and finished second in Northern Irish Premier League. At first Kearny was overlooked for the St Mirren job after Jack Ross left for Sunderland in the summer, as they favored Alan Stubbs. Stubbs was sacked after nine games in charge and Kearny emerged as their best option and hence got the job.
Stubbs was unbeaten I’m his first 5 league games but 4 consecutive defeats later proved all isn’t going well with the Buddies. Kearny have enjoyed a free week of preparation with his new team during the international break. He has a tough test to start with as he is playing Celtic who are in Europa League group stage and also grabbed a win against Rangers 1-0.
Celtic are now stable having had a disappointing run in August as they exited the Champions League and a league defeat to Hearts. This looks like a routine success for the Hoops before their Europa League group stage opener at home against Rosenborg next week. They have a strong dominance over St Mirren in recent games and Brendan Rodgers will hope to continue in that path.

St Mirren vs Celtic: Prediction
This is a very tough test for the new manager and we can’t see him pulling through from it. Celtic have steadied their ship and already have a string dominance against their host.
They undoubtedly the favorites in this game and we are backing them to win this game. Looking at the goal market, we are not expecting lack of goals but we still don’t see the game as a goal galore, at most 4 goals is expected in this game.
