St Joseph’s vs FC Prishtina
Europe- Europa League Qualification Preliminary Round
Date: Tuesday, 2 July 2019
Kick off at 16:45 UK / 17:45 CET
Venue: Victoria Stadium (Gibraltar).
The home side were far from convincing when they traveled to Kosovo for the first leg, but they did succeed in getting that all important away goal under their belt, which they will be looking to protect at all costs in the return fixture at the Victoria Stadium on Tuesday.
The first leg clash between the two sides was certainly a one-sided affair in terms of the number of attempts on goal, with the Mirel Josa’s men managing five times the number of goal attempts than what their opponents could accomplish. The squad certainly made their presence felt in the attacking third, and received a total of twelve corner kicks in that game, and managed to make the goalkeeper work on five occasions.
It’s a miracle that they managed to finish the game without an advantage to carry into the second leg and will be kicking themselves if they fail to progress because of their carelessness.
Raul Procopio Baizan’s side will have to ensure that they do not concede early on and put the pressure on themselves, so we can certainly expect them to park the bus and defend with all their might to see that the game goes through in their favour.

St Joseph’s vs Prishtina Prediction
The away side are certainly the favorites to take the win and qualify to the next stage when the two teams meet in the return leg on Tuesday.
The home side have managed just two wins in their last five matches at home, and have also lost by a goal difference of more than two goals on two occasions. With just one clean sheet in those games, to their name, it is quite certain that the hosts have not been impressive in fulfilling their defensive duties.
Their counterparts have succumbed to just one loss in their last five trips on the road, with their only defeat coming by a narrow margin at the hands of league winners KF Feronikeli. The squad have also scored a total of six goals in the process and have restricted their opponents from scoring more than two.
Both the teams have been consistent in getting their names on the score sheet in their last five clashes, and so we certainly cannot rule out the chances of both the teams finding the back of the net at least once.
