Sparta Prague vs Fenerbahce: Preview and Prediction

Sparta Prague vs Fenerbahce:
Pre-Season Friendly
Date: Tuesday, 19 July 2016
Kick-off: 14:00 UK.

Sparta Prague and Fenerbahce will face off against each other in a club friendly game on Tuesday 19th July 2016.

Sparta Prague have been busy in the past weeks as they were involved in at least 4 club friendlies in a bid to prepare themselves well ahead of the coming season. They are coming into this game from a 2-0 loss to rivals Rubin Kazan in a club friendly played on July 10 which made it 3 defeats in a row with just one win in their last four club friendlies; a 2-1 win to Ceske Budejovice, a 3-1 loss to Trencin, a 2-1 loss to Young boys before their last defeat Rubin Kazan. They hope to win or at least grab a draw in this one to halt their losing streak.

Fenerbahce’s game against Olympic Lyonnais on Saturday 16 July was cancelled, giving them enough time to rest, prepare and keep themselves in hood condition to face Prague, they have been involved in just 2 friendlies which they have been victorious in both games, a 3-1 win over Voluntari and a 2-1 win over Panathinaikos, they will be hoping to win this one to make it a hat-trick of club friendly win as they prepare ahead for their Champions League qualifying game with Monaco.

Sparta Prague vs Fenerbahce: Head-to-Head stats

The two teams have only played twice in Champions League during 2004/2005 season, Fenerbahce were victorious in the two legged tie winning each of the game with a lone goal there by keeping clean sheets in each of the game. Fenerbahce will hope to keep the winning streak against Prague and keep their dominance or at least draw this one to remain unbeaten against Prague.

Sparta Prague vs Fenerbahce: Prediction

The game would be a tough and a strong test for Fenerbahce as they prepare for a strong game on 25th, Prague have been on a bad form and may find it difficult to contain The Turkish side who have been cruising on a winning boat. I predict a win for Fenerbahce but the game might as well end in draw.

  1. Fenerbahce to win
  2. Under 2.5 goals
