San Jose Earthquakes vs Toronto FC:
MLS Regular Season,
Date: Sunday, July 17, 2016

Venue: Avaya Stadium (San Jose).
A rattled San Jose Earthquakes desperate for a win when they host Toronto FC at the Avaya Stadium in the MLS fixture on Saturday.
San Jose are on a seven match win-less run in the league and their narrow home defeat to FC Dallas last Friday put them on a two match losing streak. They are currently 8th in the Western Conference with 22 points and managed just 5 wins from their 18 matches so far this season.
Toronto had managed to avoid another defeat after holding Columbus Crew to a 1-1 draw on Tuesday. The Canadians had extended their unbeaten run to three games and tasted defeat only once in the last five matches. Toronto are currently fifth in the Eastern Conference, but are separated from the 8th placed Orlando City by virtue of 3 points.

The teams had met once in each of the last four season, Toronto won on the last two occasions 2015 and 2014, where they also played the hosts. Earthquakes were victorious in the other two occasions, 2013 at home and on 2012 at Toronto.
This is also the first time Toronto FC are travelling to San Jose for an MLS fixture since the May 2013.
San Jose Earthquakes vs Toronto FC: Prediction
San Jose Earthquakes are more than desperate to earn a win here, but things haven’t come together for The Goonies so far. Their home form this season is good and started the season off with 5 of the first 6, but drawn the next two before losing to Dallas in the latest home fixture.
As for Toronto they haven’t won in the last four away games, suffering three losses and a draw. This poor run is expected to continue over this weekend and are unlikely to trouble the hosts on Saturday night.
A 1-0 narrow win for the Quakes is my exact score prediction for this game.
