Sevilla vs Granada Prediction
Sevilla failed to get the better of Los Blancos in their most recent matchup in the La Liga and succumbed to a 2-1 scoreline at the end of the ninety minutes. The hosts have certainly been hit by a sharp decline in form which has seen them come away with the win just twice in their past five games on the trot.
Nevertheless, with thirty-five points in the bag, the home team are sitting fourth on the ladder, trailing behind third-placed Atletico Madrid only on goal difference.
On the other hand, Granada are yet to get into their stride. The visitors have admitted defeat in three of their past four fixtures in the top flight, the most recent of which was at the hands of Barcelona on the road by a narrow 1-0 scorecard.
To make matters worse, the dearth of home advantage has been a pressing problem for Granada this season. Miserably, the guests have not had a taste of success on the road, in the league, since their 2-0 win over Celta Vigo back in September.
In sharp contrast, Sevilla have been at the losing end just once in their past ten games at home. That too, in all competitions. Taking into account that the hosts have also emerged victoriously in five of their previous six meetings with this foe here, count on Sevilla to breeze past Granada this weekend.
In addition, Granada have been a nervous bunch in their own defensive third, especially on the road. They have conceded twenty goals in their outings so far, which is fourteen more than what they have conceded at home.
Furthermore, h2h history at this venue clearly indicate that goals have not been hard to come by. Six of their past seven encounters with each other here have witnessed a total of three goals or more on the final scorecards.
As such, a high scoring affair is certainly looming large come Saturday too.
