Serbia vs Russia:
Date: Sunday; 5-June-2016;
Kick-off: 17:00 GMT,
Venue: Stade Louis II (Monaco).
Russia will play their final warm-up match against Serbia on Sunday night in a neutral venue in Monaco.
It is going from bad to worse for Russia as they had fallen to back-to-back defeats and third in their last four. A win against lowly Lithuania is all they have to show for in recent fixtures and another defeat will surely shatter their confidence. Head-coach Leonid Slutsky had selected a number of players with plenty of experience for his 23-man squad for the Euros. But unfortunately, the performances on the field is far than satisfactory.
Serbia missed out on this year’s Euros and head coach Slavoljub Muslin will be solely concentrating on building his squad for the World Cup 2018 qualifying campaign. Serbia are coming on the back of three consecutive wins, but each of them had come against lowly ranked teams. Somehow, this will work on their side as a morale boost, but Russia will be a real test to their character.
