Sampdoria vs Inter Milan: Prediction
Sampdoria have finally won their first game of the season against Torino (1-0) but failed to show up in Florence against Viola (1-2) as they remained 20th in the standings.
Change of formation clearly worked against the Granata, but spirited Fiorentina team was too much for them. It doesn’t get easier for the struggling Blucerchiati as they are set to host the leaders, Inter, at Lugi Ferraris Stadium on Saturday. Eusebio Di Francesco won’t be able to count on suspended Murillo and injured trio – Maroni, Ferrari and Seculin.
Inter have kept their 100% record after beating AC Milan (2-0) in the Derby della Madonnina and Lazio (1-0) on Wednesday. Nerazzurri have scored ten goals this season and conceded just one – against Cagliari on the road.
Antonio Conte’s well-oiled machine is heading to Genoa to face Samp this weekend, and Inter will be looking to maintain their perfect start of the season before the massive clash vs Juve in the next round of Serie A. There are no injuries or suspension to report.
Sampdoria have improved since the international break, but their goalscoring record doesn’t inspire confidence ahead of this one. The Blucerchiati have netted just three goals this season – only Udinese scored less, and they’re about to take on the league’s best back line.
A disappointing 1-1 draw against Slavia Prague in the Champions League did not disrupt the Nerazzurri as they went on to defeat two quality teams. Inter are scoring an average of two goals per game and I’m positive they will find the way to defeat the hosts and keep the momentum going.
All things considered, ‘under’ looks like a sensible bet as well, and I’ll take under 2.75 (Asian Total) with decent odds.
