Even though Sampdoria numbers are rather poor, I’m confident they will find the back of the net on Sunday and make the game interesting.

Sampdoria vs Atalanta: Prediction
The Blucerchiati moved to 18th place after a 1-0 win away to SPAL in an early relegation six-pointer. Claudio Ranieri made several changes, benched veteran Quagliarella for Bonazzoli in the starting line-up, but it was a substitution, Gianluca Caprari, former Inter and Roma man, who scored a stoppage-time winner. Sampdoria are still in the relegation zone, levelled on points with Genoa.
Everyone bar Seculin are fit to play.
Atalanta’s eight-game unbeaten run came to an end as they were handed a 0-2 defeat by high-flying Cagliari. Gian Piero Gasperini’s men have failed to find the net in Serie A game for the first time since April. The Bergamese enjoyed the bulk of possession even with 10 men, since Ilicic saw red five minutes before the break, but well-trained Sardinians kept them at bay. La Dea dropped to 5th position in the Serie A standings.
Gosens and Zapata are doubtful for the trip, Josip Ilicic is suspended.
Sampdoria have claimed five points from five games at Luigi Ferraris this season. They’re scoring 0.6 goals per bout, whilst allowing league’s average numbers – 1.40 per match. 40% of their home games had over 2.5 goals and BTTS – Yes.
Atalanta are unbeaten on the road so far with the win-draw-loss record of 4-2-0. They have an average of 2.67 goals scored per game whilst allowing 1.50. At least three goals have been scored in five of their six games away from home.
Samps haven’t been able to get the best out of their strikers this season, but I’m positive they will bag one or two on Sunday since Atalanta have kept only one clean sheet this season and they have an average of 4.36 goals on their games.
The guests are putting impressive numbers on the road and I can see them scoring a few here, even without Ilicic. Gomez and Muriel are projected to start up-front with Malinovsky as no.10. Leading goal scorer Duvan Zapata should make the bench.
With a 2-3, 2-2 hunch, I’m going with BTTS – Yes and Over 3 goals (Asian Total)
