Roy Keane criticizes Hazard shirt swap at half time

“Eden Hazard swapped shirts with ex Man United star Angel Di Maria at half time”

Agitated Roy Keane criticized the action of Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard after he exchanged shirt with Paris Saint Germain winger Di Maria by half time during their Champions League tie on Wednesday night at Stamford Bridge.

Hazard was under heavy criticism from Chelsea fans who saw the incident and they condemn the act of the Belgian midfielder on social media as produced another woeful display to add to his already past form in the past weeks.

Manchester United Legend Roy Keane has laid out his own version of Criticism for the Chelsea midfielder.

Speaking to ITV Sport, Keane couldn’t hide his annoyance and irritation as he offered his views on the player being so keen to meet Di Maria to swap shirts at half time of the match.

“I’m afraid to comment on this,” Keane said. “It’s bad enough at the end of the game, but half-time in a big game, the two guys swapping shirts? It’s shocking.

“What is going through a players mindset. In such a big game, they are thinking about swapping jerseys at half-time? I wouldn’t even bother at the end of the game. Shocking.”

Guus Hiddink also showed his own view of the action, saying that Hazard shouldn’t have thought of swapping shirts with Di Maria when his side is already loosing on goal aggregate to the French side.

“It should not be done, but in some countries it is usual after a game or at half-time, and maybe they are both used to doing it,”

“I don’t want to see a bad thought behind that. It’s not a big issue. I don’t overvalue this issue. There’s no bad intention.” Hiddink said.

Hazard may not be thinking to swapping shirt with the Irish players when Belgium play against Republic of Ireland during Euro 2016 this summer, but if any Irish player wants Eden Hazards Belgium shirt next summer, he should be fast enough to do it without being caught by the assistant boss Roy Keane.
