Rotherham vs Hull City Prediction
Rotherham pulled off an impressive albeit narrow 4-3 win over Solihull Moors on the road to book their spot in the Round of 32. The hosts were trailing 3-0 at the hour mark though, in that latter clash, with no one expecting them to make a comeback. However, the home side soon replied with all four goals coming in the final fifteen minutes of play.
It is also worth mentioning that the League One side are currently unbeaten in their past four games. The most recent of which, was a thumping 4-0 win over Peterborough at home.
Meanwhile, Hull bounced back from the 2-0 defeat at the hands of Nottingham Forest by pulling off a 2-1 win over QPR on the road last week. The visitors have now emerged victoriously in half of their last six fixtures on the trot.
Furthermore, the guests have stumbled just twice in their previous seven outings in the second division. In addition, Rotherham, who ply their trade in a lower tier, are just not used to taking on teams of this stature on a weekly basis.
Taking into account that their last clash with each other here, also saw Hull secure the bragging rights, Rotherham are the underdogs to come out on top this weekend.
Be that as it may, Hull have been erratic on the road this season. They have shared the spoils in two of their last five outings. Considering that Rotherham have not admitted defeat in any of their past two games here either, a double chance is sizing up to be the safest punt in this one.
Moreover, the hosts have been keen on racking up the goal-scoring charts. Out of their last eight games here, in all competitions, they have found the back of the net fifteen times.
On the other hand, Hull have been active in the final third as well. They have scored two goals or more in five of their previous seven outings.
Given that there was no dearth of goals in their last h2h meeting here too, count on over 2.5 goals on the scorecards, by all means, come Saturday.
