“It’s best for me to stay until the end of the season. I was at Le Havre, I had six months left but nobody came to get me. Leicester tried very hard to get me.”

“I could feel that they wanted me, I took the decision without knowing the culture or the area, it was a risk.:

Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri insisted on Monday after their 2-1 win over Chelsea on Monday night that, Mahrez and inform striker Jamie Vardy are priceless.

“No-one can buy Vardy or Mahrez in January,” said Italian Ranieri.” said Claudio Ranieri after the win over Chelsea. “They don’t have the money and they don’t have a price”.

Mahrez came from French Ligue 2 side Le Havre with a reported fee of £330,000 in 2014 and his exploits have helped Claudio Ranieri’s side to set the pace, sitting top of the Premier League with 35 points out of the 16 games played so far.

The Foxes next games till the end of this year are Everton, Liverpool and Manchester City in a respective manner.
