PFA player of the year Riyad Mahrez does not think the Premier League title race is yet over.

Leicester City will be crown Champions of the competition if they managed to beat Man United on Sunday at Old Trafford.

The Algeria international who has scored 17 goals and assisted 11 for Leicester City thinks his side still has to fight for the title.

“It is not done yet, we have to keep going and focus on every game because it is difficult.

“We don’t need to be nervous, this is just a bonus for us. Nobody expected us to be where we are so this is a bonus.

“If we do it, we do it. If not, that’s life. Like I said, we are not a big club. We don’t have to win the Premier League.”

The Foxes were close to relegation last season under Nigel Pearson and the book markers did not tip Leicester to be on top this season.

Claudio Ranieri’s side lead the table since late January and lost just three games, Mahrez says his team-mates kept their focus on course.

“I speak a lot with N’Golo Kante and maybe January we started to talk about the league. We just said: ‘Imagine if…

“But that was only for about 30 seconds and then we would say: ‘No, let’s stay focused and let’s see.’

“It was still a long way to go, maybe 15 games to go,” he said.

“Nowadays, we are like: ‘It’s not done yet because Tottenham are very close to us.”
