Real Madrid target Hazard could end up at Barcelona

Hazard has been strongly linked towards a move to Real Madrid in the recent weeks, but as things stand he could well end up at their bitter rivals Barcelona.

The two Spanish giants emerged as strong contenders to sign the Belgian international from Chelsea, but the recent advancements prove that Barcelona are in the pole position to clinch his services.

Barcelona officials are already in touch with Chelsea and Hazard’s sudden dip in performance level together with his club’s struggles in the league has influenced his decision to make a switch in the summer.

After pulling out a series of match winning performance in Chelsea’s league winning season last time out, he has been the subject of much criticism from the media and fans alike this season. Hazard is yet to score a goal in the English Premier League this season in 12 appearances, and this is just an understatement of Chelsea’s collective troubles this season. Without a doubt, Eden is disillusioned at the current situation and is seeking a way out when the season ends.

He has a preference to play in Spain and the two automatic choices are naturally Real and Barcelona. Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are Hazard’s favourite players.

While Real Madrid are planning on a squad overhaul next season and they have set sights on the 24 year-old as their priority target. The 10 times Champions League winners are likely to let the Cristiano Ronaldo leave along with the likes of Isco and Jese have already started forcing their way out. Interestingly, Jese is linked with a move to Chelsea, which may help the All Whites to offer a player-plus-cash deal to the London outfit.

The current Barcelona under Luis Enrique believes that the inclusion of Eden Hazard will bring dynamism to their style of play, and strengthen their current squad. Moreover, the prospect of stealing the talented player from under the nose of their biggest rivals Madrid will be considered as another victory.

But according to the fresh reports, Real Madrid have no plan to pull out from the race and are prepared to break the make another ‘Galactico-style’ signing. It would be also interesting to see what kind of fee can tempt Chelsea into selling him. Also, do not rule out the French Champions Paris Saint Germain, who are already in the frame.

The two biggest rivals in World football will go head to head against each other on this Sunday in the first round of the El Classico derby of the 2015/16 Spanish Premier Division. Barcelona are currently top the league with 3 points ahead of Real Madrid who are in the second position.
