Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey says the side is happy with Oliveir Giroud’s impressive performance and believes the forward will continue his goal scoring form for the Club.
Oliveir Giroud was the man of the moment when his hat-trick that sailed Arsenal through to the round 16 stage of the Champions League.
The Gunners needed a two goal margin to secure 16th consecutive qualification out of the group stages of the Champions League.
The North Londoners were a bit threaten by the Greek side Olympiacos in the start of the game but Arsenal’s team character made Olivier Giroud to rise to the occasion as his 29, 49 and 67 minutes put smiles on the faces of Arsenal.
And Aaron Ramsey, who partnered Flamini in the defensive midfield to ensure a formidable role finds it necessary to praise his team-mate.
“He’s been in really good form this year and to get a hat-trick in the circumstances just shows how important he is for us.”
“We’re delighted with his contribution and hopefully he can keep up this goal scoring form that he’s in.”
“He links up the play really well, he’s a good target man who can flick balls on, bring balls down and bring other players into play. He can score goals as well so he has a bit of everything,” he told the Club’s Official website.
Arsenal could face Zenit St Petersburg, Wolfsburg or the Spanish trio of Real Madrid, Barcelona or Atletico Madrid in the next round.
The Gunners are looking forward to continue such performance in the Premier League when they face Aston Villa on Sunday at Upton Park.
