QPR vs Nottingham Forest Championship Prediction by LeagueLane

QPR vs Nottingham Forest
English Championship
Date: Saturday, 12 September 2020
Kick-Off at 15.00 UK
Venue: Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium, London.

Start of the new season in Championship is coming in not so great moment for any of these two teams. Both QPR and Nottingham Forest have lost their last two encounters prior to this, which surely had an impact on team spirits.

Forest fans are expecting to see nothing less but second consecutive playoff participation after getting eliminated in the semi-finals last campaign. Visitors are warm favorites for the win, currently priced at 2.40 odds.

QPR were one of the most interesting squads to watch in the last season, especially at this stadium. Interestingly, they scored 42 and conceded 42 goals in London during the last campaign.

Head-to-head h2h stats & Previous Meetings

These two opponents have a long history when it comes to H2H matches. There were 58 duels in the past, and Nottingham are dominating the stats. Forest won 27 games, while losing 13.

A big majority of these wins came during Nottingham’s prime in 1980s when they even became European champions.

The last meeting at this stadium was in November 2019. QPR’s fans surely remember that day after losing 0-4. Interestingly, five out of the last six games ended with BTTS NO option.

QPR vs Nottingham Forest Prediction

Home coach Mark Warburton used a bit mixed lineup for the League Cup match against Plymouth Argyle last weekend.

QPR lost the game 3-2, with both goals being scored by full-backs Kakay and Manning. Fans were not happy with the sale of Eberechi Eze, best goal scorer from the last season who was sold to Crystal Palace.

Before the above mentioned match, QPR lost to Oxford United in a friendly game.

Nottingham’s administration decided to go a different route and keep the best players. Lewis Grabban was Championship’s third goal scorer in the previous season and he didn’t go anywhere.

Forest played only one match so far (zero friendlies) and lost to Barnsley in the League Cup. Still, we think they should take advantage of QPR’s crisis and win the match.

Recommended Tips

  • Away win @ 2.40
  • Lewis Grabban to score at anytime @ 2.50.
