PSG vs Nancy: Preview and Predictions

PSG vs Nancy-French Ligue1-Match Preview-4mar2017

PSG vs Nancy
French Ligue 1
Date: Saturday, 4th March, 2017
Kick off at 16:00 UK Time
Venue: Parc des Princes, Paris.

PSG will be overwhelming favourites when they take on Nancy in Paris at the weekend. The French champions have been in superb form and are just three points behind league leaders Monaco in what looks like a title that will go down to the wire.

In Paris, PSG are still unbeaten although they have drawn three of their last five games at home. Two of those were against Monaco and Nice, but the shock result was their last home match where they managed just a scoreless draw over Toulouse.

PSG have their 2nd leg of the Champions League to play in mid-week over Barcelona, but they are 4-0 up from the first match and Unai Emery is expected to pick his strongest side.

Nancy has collected just 1 point from their last possible 15 and a loss here could see them, depending on other results, fall into the bottom three. Nancy has lost 50% of their away games which includes losing their last 3 matches in a row.

PSG vs Nancy: Head to Head Stats

PSG has won the last two matches which ended in the same score of 2-1. In general these games have been close affairs with a 1 goal margin being enough to win. 50% of matches from the last 10 played have ended with 3 goals or more.

PSG vs Nancy: Prediction

Usually with a Champions League match on the horizon this could have been a game that PSG were not 100% focused. But they should qualify for the quarter finals with ease, and the league is the important competition right now. These games are usually close, but PSG has so much quality we expect PSG to steamroller this.
