PSG vs Montpellier
France – Ligue 1
Date: Saturday 1st February 2020
Kick off at 16:30 UK/ 17:30 CET
Venue: Parc des Princes (Paris).
The champions look like they will have a fairly routine game on Saturday as they take on Montpellier at home.
PSG did play in the Coupe de France in midweek but most of their players were able to rest as they beat Pau FC 2-0. There is a confidence about the club after a few ups and downs this season and especially since the beginning of December they have been in excellent form.
PSG have a 10 point lead at the top from Marseille and at home they have won 8 of their 10 games. They did draw against Monaco last time here with that game ending 3-3. Overall form has seen the club pick up 13 points from 15 and they have no losses in their last 10 matches.
Montpellier are chasing 3rd place and are 4 points behind Rennes. When this game is played Rennes would have already played their game, so a lot does rest on this match.
Form is good for the club and they have won their last 3 games in a row. They have scored 8 goals in that time and their last match ended in a 2-1 win over Dijon.

PSG vs Montpellier: Prediction
PSG are massive odds on to win this game and Montpellier can be backed at 21.00. That is how big the gulf is. So we will take PSG to win the game because there is plenty of goals in them and we can take them on a handicap to try and lower the price.
We are a little concerned at Kylian Mbappe’s form it hasn’t been very good, but let’s pick him to get the first goal. There is a feeling that Neymar who has been in incredible form is going to help the French striker regain some of his confidence. He will need it with the Champions League coming back in a few weeks.
