PSG vs Monaco Coupe de la Ligue Predictions 31st March 2018

PSG vs Monaco
French League Cup Final – Coupe de la Ligue
Date: Saturday, 31st March 2018
Kick off at 20:00 UK/ 21:00 CET
Venue: Matmut Atlantique (Bordeaux).

Who will win the first domestic trophy of the season in France? All eyes will be on the country when PSG take on Monaco in the Coupe de la Ligue final in what should be a mouth-watering match between the two heavyweights.

PSG are the holders and continue to dominate every tournament they enter in France. Last year the two teams met in this final and it was a one sided affair when PSG beat Monaco 4-1. PSG forward Edinson Cavani scored two goals that day.

The final will be played in a neutral venue at Bordeaux which is only fair to both teams, but PSG will have a little extra miles to travel.

In the league both teams are in superb form where PSG have not lost a game since January 21st and Monaco have not lost a game in their last 15 matches.

These two teams currently sit in 1st and 2nd place and Monaco are the current champions so there will be a lot riding on this game, and we should be in for a classic final.

PSG vs Monaco: Head to Head

  • PSG and Monaco has met 5 times in cup competitions since 2008 and PSG has won every game
  • In all competitions it has been 6 games since Monaco beat PSG

PSG vs Monaco: Prediction

We will see a cautious nervous opening but these two teams will soon get used to the atmosphere and the game will open up. We could see a game that feels like last year and there is little doubt that PSG still have a psychological hold over their rivals. We think PSG can win this game with a – handicap start.
