France – Ligue 1
Date: Wednesday, 16th September 2020
Kick off at 20:00 UK/ 21:00 CET
Venue: Parc des Princes (Paris).
Who could have been believed that as we enter the 3rd game of matches in France that PSG have no wins? But this is the case as the club continues to suffer from a Champions League final hangover and also the squad being affected by Covid-19.
PSG were involved in a remarkable game at the weekend against fierce rivals Marseille when they lost 1-0. This was the first time that PSG has lost against Marseille since 2011.
But what made it worse was that there was 5 red cards in the game, including 3 for PSG and Neymar was sent off which is significant for the club.
PSG lost to Lens in their first game and you have to take a double look at the current Ligue 1 standings because PSG are in 18th place and are 7 points behind 1st position.
Metz are one place above PSG but they have also lost their first two games. They have had a tough start to the league having already to play Monaco and Lille and now PSG.
Though they were defeated by Monaco and Lille they only lost those games 1-0 each and that could count well by the end of the season when we look at goal difference.

Metz have not beaten PSG since 2006.
PSG vs Metz: Prediction
Whilst PSG will be depleted again with Neymar and Kylian Mbappe missing they still have a quality team that will need to shine in this game. Julian Draxler for example and Angel Di Maria and amongst some of the best players playing in the league and at home especially against Metz, PSG should not have too many problems.
The club are being laughed at in the French media at the moment, losing games, sending off, sending their players on a risky holiday and of course the final defeat to Bayern Munich is still very fresh.
The best the club can do is bounce back and win this game, and focus on being consistent and those thoughts will disappear as PSG try to get back on track.
Anything other than a home win would be a major problem. They are around 1.20 to win and Metz are around 8.00.
