Nantes ended their four-game unbeaten thread on Sunday, falling 3-1 away at Rennes in one of the most exciting matches of the last weekend’s Ligue 1 program.

Les Canaris will be hoping to return to winning ways on Friday evening when they visit Stade de la Meinau for the first game of Matchday No 8 against Strasbourg.

The bookies see the visitors as the underdogs going into this one despite the fact they looked great in recent wins over Clermont and Lorient.

Strasbourg have been playing hot and cold so far in the season. They generally tend to struggle to create chances against more compact defensive units.
