Lech Poznan are one of the strongest teams in Europa League’s first qualifying round and they will be absolute favourites to storm past Macedonian Pelister over two legs.

Lech Poznan

The last term of Ekstraklasa offered by far one of the most interesting and thrilling
quests for the title since four teams had almost equal chances of lifting the trophy.

Nenad Bjelica’s men were millimetres away as they dropped a two-goal cushion to concede a 87th minute equaliser in the last round’s clash with Jagiellonia.

Lech announced a strong start to the new Europa League campaign with a convincing 3-0 victory over Hapoel Be’er Sheva in the pre-season friendly at the weekend.

Pelister earned the right to participate the second strongest football competition in Europe by winning the title in Macedonian Cup.

The team led by the Turkish manager Naci Sensoy managed to make an upset by beating Shkendija on penalties in the final back in May.

This will be their first appearance in an European competition since 2008/09 season when they were eliminated by Cypriot APOEL in the first qualifying round of Europa League.

Lech Poznan vs Pelister: Head to head

The Macedonians will have the chance to enjoy the occasion of facing Lech Poznan for the first time in their history.

Lech Poznan vs Pelister: Prediction
