After being held to a draw by the tournament debutants Iceland, Portugal will prepare to bounce back against Austria in their second game of the group stages at Parc des Princes Paris on Saturday June 18 2016.
Portugal are among the favourites to win this ongoing European championship tournament or at least go on to the quarter-finals stage, but Iceland were able to hold them to a stalemate on Tuesday in their group F opening game.
Portugal were in control of the game from the beginning with numerous attacks but Iceland were able to hold them off, even after the opening goal from ex-Manchester United player Nani. Iceland worked so hard and finally got the equalizer in the 50th minute. Portugal will now hope to beat Austria in this game to keep them going.
Austria lost their first game 2-0 to Hungary at Nouveau Stade de Bordeaux, the game was weak from the start and saw no goal until Adam Szalai break the deadlock in the 62nd minute. And few minutes later Austria went down to 10 men and Zoltan Zeiber strike home after to make it 2-0 in 72nd minutes. Austria are now hoping to get back in track with a win in this game or at least get a point from this game.

Portugal and Austria have shared the win from their previous games, they have played 8 games in the past and won 2 each while 4 games have ended in draw.

Portugal vs Austria: Prediction
Portugal have improved a lot since they last played against Austria, they are considered among the favorites in this tournament and are also huge favorites in this game.
With the strength of Portugal’s attack, i’m confident they’ll win this game easily but they can still let in a goal as they did in their last game due to complacency.
The predicted result is a tough 2-1 victory for Portugal.
1. Portugal win
2. Ronaldo to score any time
3. Both teams to score
