Poland vs Nigeria
International – Friendly Match
Date: Friday, 23 March 2018
Kick-Off at 19:45 UK
Venue: Stadion Miejski (Wroclaw)
Poland will host Nigeria in the friendly clash on Friday evening. Both sides have been very successful in the World Cup qualifiers and they are looking for a good preparation for the biggest event in the season.
Poland managed to book a direct place for Russia after finishing at top spot in their group. Robert Lewandowski and the lads were pretty dominant and allowed just one defeat and a draw. Although their defence conceded more than expected, almost twice more goals than Denmark, their productivity compensated everything. Poland celebrated all five wins in front of their fans and they were scoring three goals per match in average.
Nigeria were drawn in a very tough group against Cameroon, Algeria and Zambia, but they managed to secure the top spot in the group without much trouble. Gernot Rohr’s side was putting excellent performances and they haven’t lost a single match. Their defence was on the highest level and Nigeria conceded only four goals, while the forwards did their part of job pretty successfully. When playing at away pitches, which is never easy in Africa, they were conceding in every match, but remained undefeated.
