Peru and Venezuela lock horns in the World Cup qualifier on Sunday , exactly 2 months after they faced off at the Copa America 2021.
The hosts managed a 1-1 draw against Uruguay on Thursday and they are sitting at 9th in the table.
Ricardo Gareca’s men had a positive Copa America, but they managed only 1 win from the 7 qualifying games so far. Their home record is even worse with no wins coming from 4 with 3 of them being defeats.
Venezuela are rock bottom in the South American qualifying section and they too sit with 1 win from 7 games. Their only difference from Peru is the extra game they lost.
In the midweek, they were handed a thrashing at home by Argentina.
Meantime, the Vinotinto lost all the three away games played in the qualifiers making them the worst traveling side in the section.

Peru vs Venezuela Prediction
Having watched Venezuela in the Copa and qualifiers, this match has Peru written all over it. Gareca’s men despite all the shortcomings in the competition are a better side on paper and they must get the better of a young team with little international experience.
