Parma vs Brescia: Prediction

After a dreadful overall performance vs AC Milan (0-1), Parma bounced back big-time and secured back-to-back road wins against Sampdoria (1-0) and Napoli (2-1).

The Gialloblu’s are having a strong campaign with 7 wins, 3 draws and 6 losses to date. Currently 7th, four points behind Europa League spot, Roberto D’Aversa’s side will be looking to record their third consecutive Serie A win for the first time in more than five years.

Parma have four victories and four losses at Ennio Tardini this season, averaging 1.50 goals scored per game and allowing 1.13 in return. They’ve won four of their last six home fixtures.

Cornelius, Kucka, Karamoh and Inglese are on the injury-list, whilst Scozzarella will be evaluated before the game.

After beating SPAL (1-0) and Lecce (3-0), Eugenio Corini’s side slipped to a 0-2 home defeat to clinical Sassuolo despite producing eight goal-scoring chances as opposed to Neroverdi’s three. As a result, Brescia remained 18th in the Serie A standings with the win-draw-lose record of 4-1-11, two points behind Sampdoria, Udinese and Lecce.

The Rondinelle logged three wins and five losses on their travels, netting 0.75 goals per match and conceding 1.38. They snapped their four-game losing streak on the road with a narrow victory over Spalini.

Dessena is surely out with an injury for the guests, Joronen is questionable.

Both sides have upped their game recently and even though I like what I’m seeing from Brescia, I have to back the well-rested hosts in DNB market. They’re coming off of a massive over Napoli and had more time to prepare.

With a 2-1 hunch, over 2.25 goals looks like a solid bet with decent odds. The Rondinelle have netted four goals since Corini’s return and created plenty of opportunities vs Sassuolo. They should fight back.

Lastly, I’ll pick Serie A revelation Dejan Kulusevski to score anytime. The Swedish international has bagged two goals in last five league outings and plays with freedom and confidence.
