It is fascinating that the Central American Republic of Panama qualified for Russia among all the big teams of that region. The nation will be making their maiden appearance in the World Cup tournament since the inception in 1930.

Panama qualified after a dramatic victory over Costa Rica in a match that ended 2-1. The team vehemently strived to get into this year’s world cup, something that yielded fruits at last. In fact, the team finished third in their CONCACAF qualifying group which included the likes of USA, Mexico, and Costa Rica.
