North Korea vs South Korea
World Cup Qualification Asia
Date: Tuesday, 15 October 2019
Kick-off at 09:30 UK / 10:30 CET

North Korea have been deprived of a win against this side for well over two decades now. Given the red hot form that South Korea are on, the hosts are by far the underdogs to pick up all three points in this one.

North Korea vs South Korea Prediction
The hosts have got off to a winning start in Group H and have secured maximum points from their last two clashes. Their previous trip on the road saw them edge it past Sri Lanka with a 1-0 victory, while at home, they got the better of Lebanon comfortably with a 2-0 scoreline.
On the other hand, South Korea have hit the ground running in fine fashion. The away side slotted eight goals past Sri Lanka in their last home clash and hardly broke a sweat in the process. Paulo Bento’s men were undoubtedly much the better side in that matchup and even restricted their counterparts from taking not more than one measly shot at goal.
Additionally, the dearth of home advantage has hardly hurt the guests in any of their away games. The visitors are unbeaten in their last five outings and will be making the trip to Pyongyang on the back of an impressive three-match winning streak in all competitions.
It is also worth mentioning that the hosts have not been faring well against this foe in any of their recent clashes. Taking into account that the visitors walked away with the bragging rights when they last met on North Korean soil, South Korea are the outright favorites to come out on top this Tuesday.
Furthermore, the hosts have been impressive in their defensive third, especially on home soil, and have kept a clean sheet in three out of their last five games here. The visitors have had a hard time finding the back of the net against this foe as well and have netted no more than a goal, at the most, in each of their last nine head to head matchups.
Hence, count on a low scoring affair by all means.
