Barcelona forward Neymar dos Santos could be leaving Spain following tax allegations that surround him in the country.
According to the Brazilian’s father and agent Neymar Santos Senior, the brand Neymar has faced a lot of tax allegations since their arrival in Spain and that is gradually pushing them away from Spain.
Both Barcelona and Neymar’s representative revealed that the lad’s move from Brazil outfit Santos to Barcelona in 2013 cost 57.1m euros but investigations by Spanish authorities show that the deal was around 83.371 euros.
A reported £31.3m assert of Neymar was frost by a Brazilian court in September and this has brought to the notion that the two entities (Neymar’s representatives and Barcelona) has tax evaded the Spanish and Brazil Authorities as low fee means low tax to pay.
But Naymer Santos Sr. is calling for a favorable ‘environment’ and ‘peace of mind’ to carry on brand’s activities.
“Since we arrived to Spain we have been under attack and it has extended to Brazil. For the last two-and-a-half years, we have had to defend ourselves from accusations.
“We will respect Neymar’s contract with Barca but regarding the contract extension, we need a deal that gives us peace of mind for Neymar, my companies and my family.
“We are not thinking of leaving Spain but we have a problem. We’ve never experienced such major tax issues.
“I don’t want to use the word persecution, but if the working environment here is not good, we won’t be able to remain in Spain and will have to leave the country,” he hinted to Spanish radio station Cadena Ser.
Premier League Club’s such as Chelsea, Man City and Man United are chasing for Neymar’s signature due to his skillful and superb display for both Club and country.
The 23-year-old is currently the leading goal scorer in the La Liga with 11 goals and three assist in 10 league appearances and will be poised for his side ahead of the upcoming El Classico game against Real Madrid on Saturday.
