Newcastle United vs Brighton
English Premier League
Date: Sunday, 20 September 2020
Kick-off at 14:00 UK/ 15:00 CET
Venue: St. James Park.
Both teams have not been that impressive lately, and were abysmal towards the end of the last campaign. In fact, if not for the points collected earlier in their season, they would have been part of the relegation battle as well.
2020-21 however promises to be one of the toughest ever PL seasons ever, as almost all of the teams involved have set ambitious targets, and have the assets to go after their aims as well.
If any team hopes to slack through the entire campaign, and make up for it towards the end – they are walking into a world of hurt. All evidence suggest that the ideal course of action would be to secure as many points as one can, especially against the bottom tier squads.
The Magpies seem to have begun on the right note in that regards, as they have recorded a win in their opener, while the Seagulls lost their first game.
All of these points to the inference that the upcoming encounter will be a fiercely contested one, and a goal-fest seems to be the probable end result.

Newcastle United vs Brighton: Prediction
Steve Bruce’s men recorded a 0-2 win on the road the last match-day, against West Ham. In the meantime, Graham Potter’s men lost 1-3 at home the past game week, against Chelsea.
By the looks of things, either team seem to be evenly matched. The past three h2h fixtures were draws, and except for a single encounter, every single h2h PL meeting at this stadium had the two teams sharing the spoils.
Going on, the Magpies were unbeaten in six of their preceding seven overall match-ups, and they have won just twice at home in the past eight months.
On the other hand, their counterparts were winless in 19 of their last 22 overall fixtures, and they had won just thrice away from home from their former 18 road trips.
Likely, it’s extremely unlikely that either of these teams would keep a clean sheet this Sunday.
