New York City and LA Galaxy are going to wrap up the 2nd round of Major League Soccer on Sunday evening. Both sides have booked a win in the premier round and want to continue in the same fashion.
The hosts were the second-placed side in Eastern conference, however they were stopped in the quarter-finals of the playoffs by Columbus Crew. David Villa and the lads have been playing very well in the final third, while their defence did a decent job. When playing in front of their fans, New York City have been pretty good, however they failed to win in their last three matches. They have played the first match of the season against Sporting Kansas City on away ground and booked a win by managing to keep the clean sheet. This will be their first match of the season at home ground and they are looking for another win.
LA Galaxy want to forget their last season as soon as possible. They were the worst side in the competition along DC United and have booked only 32 points. Their defence was leaking everywhere and they have conceded 67 goals. On the other hand, Sigi Schmid’s side was one of the best away teams in the league with five victories, however they failed to celebrate in the last five away matches. LA Galaxy opened the season with a win over Portland Timbers at home ground and they have pretty solid squad which could challenge for one of the playoff spots.

Although LA Galaxy outclassed their opponents in their first clash with 5-1 win, in other two matches New York City managed to celebrate.
