Napoli vs Torino
Italian Serie A.
Date: Sunday, 6 May 2018
Kick-Off: 14:00 UK,
Venue: Stadio San Paolo (Naples).
Napoli have dug themselves into a hole yet again as they stumbled to a shock 3-0 loss to Fiorentina last weekend. Have they effectively knocked themselves out of the Scudetto race, or can they get back on track with just a few games to spare? Only three games are left, and Juventus still have to take on Roma before the end of this season.
However, the slip-up against Fiorentina will certainly be weighing on Napoli’s minds. Juventus managed to overturn what seemed like a certain loss to Inter into a 3-2 win, meaning that Napoli’s win against Juventus counts for nothing at this point, as they are now four points behind. Maurizio Sarri’s men will now be desperate to get back on track but it now seems like their chance has gone begging and they will be expected to finish strong. Taking on Torino, who have not impressed in their travels is a great chance for them to pick up a much needed three points – as nothing short of a win will suffice at this juncture.
Napoli have won eight of their last nine games on home turf. Torino have won just four of their away fixtures and have lost their last five clashes against Napoli; in addition, this should be a higher scoring clash as they have seen over 2.5 goals in all of their last losses against teams ranked higher than them in the table.
Torino have ruled themselves pretty much out of contention for a Europa League spot and have little much to play for at this point – and that’s something Napoli will seek to exploit as they seek to push the Scudetto battle to the final matchday.

Napoli vs Torino: Prediction
Although Napoli have been quite strong at home, they have conceded nine goals in their last seven home games, meaning that Torino should be able to nick a goal. They’ve also seen over 2.5 goals in their last five meetings with the Granata so this should be a higher scoring affair over all. Interestingly, they have picked up in form against Torino after struggling in the past, and should be able to rebound from their bad performance against Fiorentina last weekend.
