Nantes vs Rennes
France – Ligue 1
Date: Friday 20th April 2018
Kick off at 18:30 UK/ 19:30 CET
Venue: La Beaujoire (Nantes).
Nantes declining season was underlined with another draw last weekend at home to Dijon and the club have not tasted victory now since the middle of March. They have the luck to play at home again against a more capable team in Rennes on Friday evening.
Nantes slipped down to 9th place, but it is worth remembering that their season is not over. They are 2 points adrift of 5th place which would be good enough for the Europa League next season. But recent home form has been poor with just 1 win in their last five games.
Rennes were shocked last weekend when they lost 2-1 to Metz at home. Metz who are still bottom had just lost 5-0 to Lyon and Rennes were expected to ease to a victory but that wasn’t to be the case. Rennes keep 5th place because teams around them all failed to win but the club cannot afford to drop points again so soon.
Rennes are going through a dip in form and although they lost 1 of their last six games their results have been littered with draws. Away from home the club had won 7 times and they are the 5th best home side in the league.
Nantes vs Rennes: Head to Head

Nantes v Rennes: Prediction
Our main bet will be for both teams to score, but we also fancy Rennes to get the win. The club remains solid, and this game is huge for a possible European place.
Nantes are missing some key personnel and are low on confidence. The pressure will be on them to win in front of their home fans and Nantes don’t do pressure very well.
Nantes v Rennes: Bet Tips
Both teams to score at 1.91
Rennes to win at 3.20.
