Nantes vs Lille: 1st March 2020, Sunday
French Ligue 1
Kick off at 14:00 UK/ 15:00 CET
Venue: Stade La Beaujoire.
Nantes come into this game in 11th place but incredibly they are just 2 points behind 5th. They have gone their last 3 games without defeat although two of those were draws but they did win their game last weekend beating Marseille 3-1 which was an impressive result against the team in 2nd place and a rare defeat for them.
Nantes will want to build on that and given that Lille are also up there this should be a very entertaining game. At home Nantes have won almost half of their games but their season has felt underwhelming so far, and there is a feeling that they could be doing better. They also have a poor recent home record as they have not won here for the last 4 games.
Lille are in 4th place and are just 1 point behind Rennes in 3rd. Form is good as they have won 4 of their last five games and last weekend they beat Toulouse 3-0 in a game they were expected to win.
Lille have a little breathing space between them and 5th as Monaco are four points behind, but they will want 3rd place as that is the last qualifying place for the Champions League.

Nantes vs Lille: Prediction
Lille have a very good record at Nantes even if some matches do end in draws and we think a great choice here would be to take Lille on the double chance and that will cover us for the draw.
The home side have lost 7 games away from home which isn’t good but at the same time their recent away record is improving, and they have won their last two games on the road.
For smaller stakes we will take the correct score. This should be an interesting game which could well be won in the midfield battle.
