Milan vs AEK Athens: Preview and Predictions

Milan vs AEK Athens
UEFA Europa League
Date: 19th October 2017
Kick off at 20:05 UK/ 21:05 CET
Venue: Stadio San Siro (Milano).

Predictably enough, Milan cruised past their opponents to pick up two wins in two Europa League ties in Group D and they are looking to hold on to the perfect record this Thursday when they host the second-placed AEK Athens at Stadio San Siro.

Milan

Rossoneri entered the season with the sky-high ambitions after a solid job they’ve done during the summer transfer window.

However, the expectations suffered a huge blow with back-to-back defeats to Roma and Inter in previous two Serie A outings.

The loss to their arch-rivals has made it three defeats on the trot in the domestic league for Vincenzo Montella and his men as Milan allowed at least two goals in each of their last four fixtures in all competitions (including the 3-2 win over Rijeka in the second round of Europa League).

AEK Athens

AEK opened the campaign in both Super League and Europa League in a strong fashion, but they will travel to San Siro being winless in last three outings in all competitions.

The team led by the Spanish manager Manolo Jimenez failed to backup the initial win over Rijeka two weeks ago when they had to save a point against Austria Vienna in front of their fans.

Milan vs AEK Athens: Head to head

The two teams took on each other in the Champions League group phase eleven years ago when they took a win each on the home court.

Milan’s was far more convincing as Rossoneri bagged three without conceding single at San Siro back in September 2006.

Milan vs AEK Athens: Prediction

AEK have been fairly easy to break down lately and we can’t see how they would stop Milan’s attack from netting three or more goals here.

Andre Silva, who notched six so far in the competition, is well worth backing as the anytime scorer at the odds of 21/20.

Milan vs AEK Athens: Bets

The top pick is Milan to win & Over 2.5 goals FT at the odds of 11/10.

The alternative option would be Andre Silva to score anytime at the odds of 21/20.
